Terms & Conditions

These terms govern access to Jefferson County Released Inmates. Using any page means that you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the site or its linked tools.

Jefferson County Released Inmates is privately owned and has no affiliation with a government body, sheriff, jail, court, or corrections department. Neither the site nor its advertising partners offers a Fair Credit Reporting Act service. The site is a Jefferson County and West Virginia records reference, not a private investigation firm or consumer reporting agency.

Nature of the Website

This private reference site does not store official inmate, jail, release, or court records. It cannot confirm custody, release a person, post bond, or file a document with WVDCR or a Jefferson County office.

Its pages point visitors toward public records resources, government locators, and outside research tools that may help find relevant offices or records.

Acceptable Use Rules

You agree to use the site lawfully and without harming another person or the service.

  • Do not violate any law through the site or a linked resource.
  • Do not stalk, threaten, harass, or intimidate anyone.
  • Do not make hiring, housing, lending, credit, or insurance decisions from site information.
  • Do not attempt access to accounts, servers, or data without authorization.
  • Do not use bots, scrapers, or automated extraction tools.
  • Do not overload, damage, disable, or interfere with access by others.

No Consumer Reporting Service

Jefferson County Released Inmates is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Third-Party Destinations

Links may lead to WVDCR, Jefferson County offices, courts, parole and probation resources, federal locators, legal-aid material, advertising, or outside search tools. A link is not an endorsement. We do not control the destination's content, availability, privacy practices, data handling, or terms. Review those terms before using an outside service.

Provided Without Warranties

The site and its contents are supplied “as is” and “as available.” To the extent allowed by law, no express or implied warranty promises:

  • accuracy, completeness, or current information;
  • continuous or uninterrupted operation;
  • freedom from errors, defects, or security weaknesses; or
  • complete or useful results from a partner search.

Custody data and public records can change quickly. Nothing here is an official statement by a sheriff, jail, WVDCR, court, or other government body.

Limits of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the site, its owners, operators, and content partners are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from use of, inability to use, or reliance on the site or an outside link.

Your Duty to Indemnify

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the site, its owners, operators, and partners from claims, losses, costs, and reasonable legal fees caused by your use, misuse, or breach of these terms.
